Bronzz Plays Games
Read MoreI ask for the left hind foot, and Bronzz offers the right
Bronzz is not confused. This is a game. Several friends have observed their own horses playing this same "wrong foot" game. Horses typically play it only with someone they trust to get the joke, and not "correct" them for being "disobedient". Does it show that horses have a sense of humor? I think so.Bronzz picks up his lead for me
Picking things up, like the "wrong foot" game, is an activity Bronzz came up with himself. He picks up mainly things he has seen me pick up, such as lead, pitchfork, wheelbarrow handle (yes, he dumped the wheelbarrow), and the cats' water bowl. Yes, we had water everywhere, and no, Bronzz was not surprised. Horses clearly understand that laughter is a good thing, so my reaction naturally encourages him. Bronzz once attempted to pick me up, grabbing the shoulder of my coat, careful not to grab me in the process, and lifting. I imagine he was disappointed that my feet did not leave the ground.
